Check it out----This is your chance to participate in a group study exchange to either Italy or Turkey. I had an amazing experience on my trip to South Africa and would recommend this program to anybody!


TURKEY

Rotary District 5890 of the Greater Houston area is seeking applicants:
GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE to
Turkey’s Rotary District 2420 May 13-June 14, 2007

Four young professionals of various vocational backgrounds will be selected in an interview process to participate in a month-long, all-expenses-paid trip to Istanbul and environs. Team members will reside and board with Turkish Rotarians and their families while abroad.
Exchange participants will spend at least one day each week on the trip with a Turkish professional counterpart and will have “red carpet” sightseeing, educational, and social opportunities. The team members will visit Turkish Rotary clubs and make presentations to members about Houston and their personal lives. Upon their return, the participants will be invited to share their experiences abroad with Rotarians and community organizations.
To be eligible, applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 40 and currently employed; able to take off one month from work for the trip and have adequate time to prepare with other chosen team members and a Rotarian team leader to learn about Turkey’s culture and language; reside in Rotary District 5890 boundaries and be U.S. citizens; and able to fulfill the rigorous demands of a busy itinerary. Also, applicants can NOT be direct relatives of Rotarians.

DEADLINE
Applications must be submitted by Monday, October 23, to Lisa Bunse, 14 E. Greenway Plaza, 19R, Houston, TX 77046. A mandatory 7 p.m. reception for applicants only (sorry, no spouses please) will take place on Friday, October 27, and interviews will be conducted throughout the morning and afternoon of Saturday, October 28.

Rotary District 5890 of the Greater Houston area is seeking applicants:
GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE to Italy’s Rotary District 2070 June 2-30, 2007

Four young professionals of various vocational backgrounds will be selected in an interview process to participate in a month-long, all-expenses-paid trip to the provinces of Tuscany and Emilia Romagna and the Republic of San Marino. Team members will reside and board with Italian Rotarians and their families in such cities as Florence, Bologna, and Pisa.
Exchange participants will spend at least one day each week on the trip with an Italian professional counterpart and will have “red carpet” sightseeing, educational, and social opportunities. The team members will visit Italian Rotary clubs and make presentations to members about Houston and their personal lives. Upon their return, the participants will be invited to share their experiences abroad with Rotarians and community organizations.
